About Sparrow's Nest:
Sparrows Nest is a clearing house for several local churches to assist persons and families who have emergency financial needs. Persons requesting services must present an ID, proof of some income, and proof of their need in the form of a bill. If the need is legitimate, then vouchers are sent to the power companies, water company, drug stores, landlords, etc. for partial payment on their need.
Between January 1 and April 30, 2008, over $25,000 has been given to persons who are struggling to make ends meet. These expenses include:
