Current Ministries

Cancer Network of Hope: A partnership with the Southeast Georgia Cancer Alliance will enable us to establish a ministry through the churches which will focus on cancer prevention, cancer education, and support services to our neighbors who are battling cancer.

Sparrow's Nest: Sparrows Nest serves as a clearing house for local churches for those who are seeking help with power bills, rent, medicine, food, and other needs.  It is funded by local churches, contributions from individuals, and grants.

Faith in Action: Faith in Action ministers to persons with chronic illness or who have sustained a serious injury.  This ministry provides food, transportation to physician appointments or treatment facilities, grocery shopping, friendly visits, and more.  It is funded by contributions from individuals and businesses.

The Pastoral Care Program at the Brunswick
Campus of Southeast Georgia Health System:
We offer spiritual care and assistance to patients and their families.  This ministry is funded by Southeast Georgia Health System.

The Divorcing Parent Seminar: This monthly seminar (required of divorcing couples with children under the age of 18 by the Superior Court) addresses needs and concerns of the children who are affected by divorce.  It is primarily funded by the participants.

Church/Community Consultation: We frequently assist churches and community organizations who wish to work with local churches on issues of common interest.

TempleCare: A new ministry in partnership with local churches to promote health and wellness within the congregations.

Chaplain Program for the Sea Island Company: Pastoral Care and Counseling for company employees.  This ministry is funded by the Sea Island Company.

Shepherds for Seniors: More than 25 volunteers who assist elderly persons with grocery shopping. Funded by a grant from Altria.


Ministries Coming Soon:

Hospitality House: A ministry to out of town families of patients who become ill or injured while visiting the Golden Isles and to out of town persons in need of radiation or chemotherapy treatments over a period of several days.  Over half of our goal of $200,000 has already been raised.  This will be funded by individuals, businesses, and local churches.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (Strategically Utilizing Community
Connections to Ensure Supportive Services):
for those reentering the community post-incarceration.  A partnership with agencies and churches to minister to those who are in trouble and want to make positive choices for the future.

Cottage Industry: A program that will create part time jobs for persons with disabilities or who face obstacles like transportation, lack of training, childcare, etc.

Other Partnerships: FaithWorks is committed to working with other organizations, churches and businesses to help define needs in our community and to develop efficient plans to address those needs.
